Forum Theme
In the field of HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment, medical technologies and public health policies are steadily evolving. The increased availability of PrEP and PEP, together with the established scientific consensus that “Undetectable = Untransmittable” (U=U), has significantly enhanced the quality of life and social participation for people living with HIV.
Yet, these medical advances have not been matched by a commensurate level of social understanding and acceptance. Deep-seated stigma, discrimination, and social isolation continue to exact a heavy psychological toll and lead to systemic marginalization, barring many from accessing equitable care and living with dignity.
Addressing this critical gap between medical progress and lagging social support, the 8th Beijing-Hong Kong-Macau-Taiwan AIDS Forum embraces the theme “Together with Love, Not Alone in the Fight.” The Forum aims to foster cross-regional, cross-sectoral, and interdisciplinary dialogue and collaboration. We will focus on two core objectives: “Eliminating Stigma” and “Building Robust Support Systems,” translating scientific knowledge into tangible, inclusive social practices.
This Forum is conceived not merely as a platform for the exchange of knowledge and experience, but as a starting point for collective action. By integrating diverse perspectives and strengthening cross-boundary networks, we seek to advance more holistic strategies and build stronger collaborative foundations among the four regions—working together to forge a more inclusive, equal, and supportive future.
